Basin and Range Heritage Consultants is a fully insured Limited Liability Company comprised of associated individuals and companies with expertise in archaeological and historical research and cultural resource management services. We are versed in the laws and regulations governing cultural and environmental resources and focus primarily on the western states.
Basin and Range Heritage Consultants serves clients in the federal, state, local government, and private sectors by providing compliance programs that are consistent, thorough and cost-effective. We strive to balance our own commitments to sound research and historic preservation while facilitating client objectives.
Available services include archival research, agreement documents, and Class I overviews; historical and ethnographic research; Phase I field surveys, Phase II evaluation of prehistoric and historic sites and structures, and Phase IV monitoring; lithic analysis, historical and architectural surveys, National Register eligibility determinations and nominations, assessment of impacts and effects for environmental documents, monitoring and inadvertent discoveries, condition assessments, treatment plans, and stabilization of historic structures.
Basin and Range Heritage Consultants possesses the equipment and laboratory facilities to conduct field research and to analyze or to prepare samples and artifacts for analysis by external specialists.
Current projects include excavation and collections analysis at seven rock shelters situated on public lands in Nye County, Nevada; construction monitoring for US97 realignment near Bend, Oregon; site testing and monitoring for geothermal gradient well pads at Newberry Volcano, and survey and excavation oversight for the Ruby Pipeline on BLM land in Oregon.
